ESIC Hospital, Varanasi is situated close to the historic Kashi Viswanath Temple on approximately 5 acres plot. ESI Corporation took over the administration of the previous 60 bedded State run ESIS Hospital on 22.12.2016. The newly constructed Superspeciality hospital block was handed over on 07.02.2020. Of the 150 beds sanctioned and commissioned here, 100 are for speciality services and 50 for superspeciality services. ESIC Hospital, Varanasi renders service to 1.52 lakh insured persons and their dependants. All the speciality services and major superspeciality services are present in this ISO 9001:2015 certified hospital. This hospital is also accredited for Diploma in Anaesthesiology program of National Board of Examinations, MoHFW, GoI. The hospital was adjudged the Best Clean Hospital by Varanasi Nagar Nigam in the Swacchh Survekshan campaign. The general public of Varanasi is also served here as this hospital is open for Non-insured persons and also for beneficiaries of Ayushman Bharat(AB-PMJAY)scheme. In addition, telemedicine services are also operational for general public through the e-Sanjeevani platform. On 10th August 2023 an MOU was signed between Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital & Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya Cancer Center.This has brought comprehensive Oncology services ( Consultation/ Diagnosis/ Onco related special investigations/ Biopsy/ Radiotherapy and Oncosurgery ) accessible to our IPs. Home Drug distribution has started through speed post services of India Post.
